Pre-Alpha 0.5.0


The event hooks seem to be working correctly now! I pushed out an update with several simple artifacts that modify the stats of your orbs. More complicated stuff coming soon! Explosive attacks, element-specific buffs, etc.

The game is still a 2-player local versus! No single player content has been added for 0.5.0.

Artifacts are handled by several classes deriving from a central abstract data class deriving from scriptable object, so adding new artifacts/relics is easy-peasy now! This is the same way supers are handled.

Additions

Added artifacts! Choose an artifact at the beginning of the game for unique powers!

  • Sword– All orbs gain 2 damage.
  • Ignition Spell – All orbs gain 6 seconds of fire damage.
  • Ancient Bricks – All orbs gain 3 wall health.
  • Yield Spell – All orbs have their attack speed halved.
  • Air Horn – All orbs ignore idle units.
  • Flux Capacitor – All orbs lose 2 seconds of charge time.
  • Frost Rebreather – All orbs gain 9 seconds of freeze.
  • Acid Vial – All orbs gain 15 seconds of poison damage.

Tweaks

  • Mega orb damage reduced by 30 across the board (and rounded to the nearest 5).
  • Orb damage reduced by 2 across the board.
    • Fire, poison, and lightning just reduced by 1.
  • Umbra's super now freezes any one attack for 60 seconds (up from 36).
  • Karma's super now freezes all enemy attacks for 24 seconds (up from 18).
  • Ryan's super now deals damage in a single column again.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue with targeted projectile supers (Mara and Ryan) that prevented secondary orbs from appearing in the leftmost column.

Engine

Added event hooks for artifacts.

Orbs now send their type to events when requested.
